An impromptu, community-performed mashup of Shakespeare’s infamous “lost” masterpiece, Hambeth. After losing the sole copy of the script, Shakespeare eventually pieced together two lesser plays—Hamlet and Macbeth—from whatever strange, dreamlike fragments from Hambeth he could remember. Bobby Burnett Lee and Woodhaven High School present this original production of Shakespearean characters navigating the absurd realms of Dance Moms, substandard airline snacks, Hunger Games, unproductive psychotherapy, Dungeon & Dragons, and more.

New works by old friends! Kevin Russell (Gourds/Shinyribs), Mike Henry (Austin Slam/Blue Plate Poets), and me, reading our best like it’s the mid-90s at the Electric Lounge again. Hopefully one event among several I’m lining up for late February in my home state!

Phill has done roughly 92% of my tattoos over the past couple of decades. He’s also the only human I know who can out-quote me from Raising Arizona and The Big Lebowski. His Boulder shop is an amazing venue packed with killer art and a top-notch crew. This event is still a work-in-progress, but you can expect a flash sale, top-notch tequila, live music from Hunter Stone, and me getting the title of the novel inked somewhere (right shin, prolly). Oh, and I’ll be reading from the novel, too.

My first book fair. Right across the water from Whidbey, too. I’ll be one of 85 PNW authors doing who knows what, but they promised us a visit from Krampus, so there’s that.
